Attackers can exploit this to run arbitrary code on the target system.

Additionally, Broadcom addressed three other vulnerabilities. CVE-2026-47876 is an out-of-bounds write bug involving the VMXNET3 network adapter. It can enable an attacker with admin privileges inside a VM to execute code on the host system. CVE-2026-41703 is an out-of-bounds read that might lead to data disclosure or DoS if triggered by someone with VM deployment rights. Lastly, CVE-2026-41709 is an insufficient logging flaw that an attacker with admin privileges can exploit to perform actions without leaving logs.

The targets for these vulnerabilities include VMware ESX, vCenter, Workstation, and Fusion. Attackers could exploit these flaws to take control of the systems or cause disruptions, especially those with network or administrative access.

Impact, Security Implications, and Remediation Guidance

These vulnerabilities pose serious security risks. Successful exploitation of CVE-2026-59309 or CVE-2026-59310 could give attackers full control over VMware environments. CVE-2026-47876 allows code execution on the host, which could lead to widespread damage. The out-of-bounds read and logging flaws might cause data leaks or make malicious activities harder to detect.

Broadcom has not found evidence that these flaws are exploited in real attacks. Still, organizations should apply the available patches promptly. It is important to update VMware products to the versions listed in the advisories, such as VMware vCenter 8.0 U3k and VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1.0.0300.

For further guidance on fixing these issues, organizations should consult the official VMware security advisories or contact the relevant vendor. Remediation steps should be handled carefully to ensure systems are secure against future threats.
