Akamai Technologies, a leader in cloud computing and cybersecurity, has entered into a new strategic partnership with Aptum, a managed hybrid cloud services provider specializing in customized infrastructure solutions, consulting, and ongoing management. As part of the Akamai Partner Program, Aptum will now deliver day 0–2 support for organizations adopting the Akamai Cloud.

The alliance comes as more small-to-midsize businesses and large enterprises explore cloud repatriation strategies and focus on sustainable operations. By combining expertise, Akamai and Aptum aim to simplify cloud migration and transformation, accelerate the development of cloud-native applications, and identify ways to optimize costs.

Ian Rae, CEO of Aptum, said the partnership strengthens its ability to meet evolving customer needs:
“Teaming up with Akamai allows us to provide the performance, security, and cost-efficiency modern businesses demand. Together, we help organizations focus on growth while managing infrastructure on the right platforms, with the right support, and the clarity to make confident decisions.”

Aptum supports businesses across all levels of cloud adoption—from mid-market innovators to global enterprises undergoing large-scale digital transformation. Its vendor-neutral, workload-first approach helps organizations make informed technology choices, while its adaptable consulting and managed service models ensure long-term flexibility.

Dan Lawrence, Senior Vice President of Cloud Computing at Akamai, noted that Aptum’s capabilities align with Akamai’s growth strategy:
“Aptum has proven it can accelerate deployments, drive adoption of our cloud solutions, and uncover opportunities across industries. Working together allows us to expand more effectively and deliver measurable results for customers of every size.”

The combined offering will also benefit technology services distributors (TSDs) and their sub-agents. Both companies are investing heavily in the TSD channel, creating more ways for partners to deliver comprehensive, integrated cloud computing solutions to clients.
