ConnectWise Retires IT Nation Secure as Standalone Event

ConnectWise, the world’s leading software company dedicated to the success of managed service providers (MSPs), announced the strategic retirement of IT Nation Secure™ as a standalone event, effective 2026. Instead of a single standalone event, IT Nation will integrate the acclaimed cybersecurity content from IT Nation Secure directly into its flagship IT Nation Connect™ conferences in Europe, Australia/New Zealand (ANZ), and North America annually.

This transition reflects IT Nation’s commitment to delivering greater impact through fewer, more immersive events while meeting the evolving needs of MSPs in today’s integrated cybersecurity landscape.

“With cybersecurity now embedded in every decision an MSP makes, it’s time for our event strategy to reflect that reality,” said Peter Kujawa, EVP & GM, Service Leadership and IT Nation. “We’re doubling down on security—just in a more integrated, accessible, and global way.”

A Strategic Shift to Serve a Global Community

As cybersecurity has become inseparable from everyday IT decision-making, IT Nation is streamlining its event strategy. Rather than separate cybersecurity into a dedicated program, IT Nation is embedding it into the broader IT Nation Connect experience—creating unified opportunities for education, innovation, and peer connection. While robust cybersecurity tracks are planned for 2025, the expanded IT Nation Secure-style content and experiences will begin in 2026.

Starting in 2025, IT Nation Connect has begun running annually in Europe, ANZ, and North America. This consistent regional cadence highlights ConnectWise’s long-term investment in MSP communities around the globe.

“For 2025, we rebuilt IT Nation Secure from the ground up, and the response from the community made it clear we were on the right track,“ said Matt Topper, Cybersecurity Evangelist for IT Nation. “Now, by integrating Secure into Connect, we have the opportunity to go even deeper into the content that matters most to MSPs by focusing on the real-world threats, tools, and strategies that security-minded MSPs are dealing with every day.”

IT Nation Secure 2025: A High Note to Conclude On

The final edition of IT Nation Secure, held in 2025, was the strongest in its history, achieving record-breaking engagement and satisfaction:

4% increase in MSP attendees from 2024

1.4 million social impressions

100+ hours of content across 42 breakouts, 8 technical sessions, 15 lounge sessions

100+ speakers and 55 sponsors

94% attendee satisfaction rating

These results confirm that IT Nation Secure’s value is thriving—and its future is even brighter as part of IT Nation’s global conference model.

“I think the decision for ConnectWise to sunset IT Nation Secure is a wise and prudent decision. This will allow cybersecurity-focused content to be built into all other core events like Connect, which will create more synergy and attendance around those main events,” said Scott Warner, President and CEO, Connecting Point. “Plus, there is already so much competition for travel and conferences, so consolidating fantastic content and tracks into a marquis event allows an MSP to save money and potentially bring more people to the events they attend.”
