DataBahn.ai has welcomed Preston Wood as its new Chief Security and Strategy Officer. The company, which builds security-focused data pipeline platforms for modern enterprises, sees his appointment as a key step in strengthening its leadership team while it continues to grow and serve businesses around the world.

Wood brings over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity and technology leadership. He has held senior roles at major banks, including Zions Bancorporation, Bank of the West, and City National Bank, serving as Chief Information Security Officer three times and Chief Technology Officer twice. Throughout his career, he has been recognised for building strong security frameworks and creating real-time threat detection programs that align with business goals.

In his new role, Wood will work closely with DataBahn.ai’s engineering and product teams to drive innovation and deepen relationships with customers. He will focus on developing solutions that combine automation and AI to improve data orchestration for large organisations. Wood will also act as a bridge between customers and the product team, ensuring their needs guide future developments.

“From my perspective, security and IT teams make their best decisions when they have access to accurate data, combined with real-time insights and meaningful context,” Wood said. “DataBahn’s platform stands out for tackling ongoing challenges in data discovery, ingestion, and visibility. I’m excited to join a team so committed to innovation and customer success.”

Wood holds an MBA from the University of Utah and a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Weber State University.

New Sales Leaders Join the Team

Alongside Wood’s appointment, DataBahn.ai has strengthened its sales leadership with two key hires:

Payman Faed has joined as Senior Vice President of Sales for the Western U.S. Faed brings over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity sales and leadership. He has worked with companies such as Lumifi and Castra, building high-performing sales teams and driving partner-focused growth strategies. At DataBahn.ai, he will manage strategic accounts in the West, lead national expansion efforts, and oversee account teams focused on delivering customer value.

Trevor Crompton has been appointed Vice President of Sales for EMEA. Crompton has more than three decades of experience in the IT industry, including nearly 15 years building and leading startup teams across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. He is known for helping security professionals manage complex data environments. In his new role, he will lead DataBahn.ai’s expansion in EMEA, supporting customers in simplifying operations and managing growing data volumes while keeping storage costs in check.

“With Preston, Payman, and Trevor joining us, we’re building a leadership team that combines technical strength, customer understanding, and proven sales expertise,” said Nanda Santhana, co-founder and CEO of DataBahn.ai. “Their experience will be key as we continue to grow and deliver value to enterprises worldwide.”
