  2. Expansion of Cybersecurity Portfolio: This acquisition enhances ServiceNow’s IT service management capabilities by integrating risk and threat protection, enabling proactive risk management across connected assets.

  3. Visibility and Management Focus: Armis will provide comprehensive visibility into connected devices, using AI for asset management and security, enhancing ServiceNow’s offerings for enterprise risk intelligence.

  4. Strategic Industry Move: ServiceNow aims to embed deep cybersecurity features into its existing platform, positioning itself as a key player in the increasingly competitive cybersecurity landscape.

ServiceNow Acquires Armis for $7.75 Billion

ServiceNow has announced its largest acquisition to date, purchasing Armis, a cybersecurity platform focused on connected devices, for $7.75 billion. This all-cash deal is set to close in the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approvals. With this acquisition, ServiceNow adds to its growing portfolio, marking its fourth cybersecurity purchase within a year. Earlier, it acquired Veza for $1 billion and closed deals for Moveworks and Mission Control at $2.85 billion each. Through these acquisitions, ServiceNow aims to enhance its capabilities in risk and threat protection.

Founded a decade ago, Armis specializes in managing a wide range of connected devices, from IoT to industrial equipment. Its platform, Armis Centrix, provides comprehensive visibility and security for these assets. This acquisition aligns with the company’s strategy to integrate deeper security features into its existing IT service management offerings. According to ServiceNow’s CEO, the partnership will allow organizations to gain clearer insights into their critical infrastructure, enhancing operational security.

Enhancing AI Capabilities with Armis Integration

The combination of ServiceNow and Armis aims to create a more robust cybersecurity framework. ServiceNow’s AI Control Tower will benefit from Armis’ exposure-management capabilities, as noted by the company’s COO. This integration promises to offer customers an improved system for tracking assets and managing risks before incidents arise.

Moreover, this acquisition expands ServiceNow’s configuration management database. It creates a unified security operations platform that can streamline processes and improve decision-making across the enterprise. Although some analysts have raised concerns about entering a crowded market, others see potential for ServiceNow to offer enhanced cybersecurity management tools seamlessly integrated with its IT services.

Overall, this significant move not only reinforces ServiceNow’s commitment to cybersecurity but also signals a trend of increasing consolidation in the industry. With continuous advancements in AI and cybersecurity, this acquisition could play a crucial role in helping organizations navigate complex digital landscapes.
