To combat this, the NSA is offering free security services through its Cybersecurity Collaboration Center. This includes protective tools and classified information sharing. Moreover, partnerships with firms like Horizon3.ai aim to provide free penetration testing, giving small companies vital insights into their security gaps. The NSA recognizes that as the landscape evolves, so must its strategies to safeguard these essential yet vulnerable businesses.

The diversity within the defense industrial base continues to grow. Companies now include emerging tech industries like artificial intelligence and commercial transportation, adding complexities to cybersecurity needs.
