Essential Insights

  1. New Research Initiative: Information Services Group (ISG) is launching a comprehensive study to assess cybersecurity service providers for enterprises navigating hybrid IT environments and enhancing cyber resilience.

  2. Focus on Emerging Challenges: The research will evaluate how cybersecurity offerings evolve to address threats in complex hybrid architectures, helping organizations protect sensitive data and ensure operational continuity.

  3. Comprehensive Reporting: Scheduled for July 2026, the study will produce ISG Provider Lens reports analyzing strategic and technical security services, risk management, and advanced cybersecurity solutions.

  4. Industry Demand and Trends: Enterprises are increasingly pressured to bolster cybersecurity as regulatory requirements grow. The research will guide organizations in evaluating vendor relationships and selecting providers that meet their specific cybersecurity needs.

ISG’s New Initiative on Cybersecurity Assessment

Information Services Group (ISG) has announced a significant research study aimed at assessing cybersecurity service providers. This initiative highlights the growing need for enterprises to protect sensitive data in complex hybrid IT environments. As organizations modernize their digital infrastructures, they face new challenges. These include threats from increasingly sophisticated cyberattacks and the pressure to comply with strict regulatory standards. To address these issues, ISG’s study will explore how cybersecurity providers are adapting their services.

The findings will be compiled into a series of reports titled Cybersecurity Services and Solutions, slated for release in July 2026. These reports will cover various cybersecurity capabilities, offering insights into strategic and technical services as well as advanced solutions like risk-based vulnerability management. In doing so, ISG aims to equip enterprise buyers with practical resources. Firms can use these insights to evaluate vendor relationships and navigate the market landscape effectively.

Understanding the Landscape of Cybersecurity Services

As the cybersecurity market evolves, organizations must respond to mounting pressures from both regulatory bodies and corporate governance. Companies are increasingly turning to strategic cybersecurity services that align with their operational and governance frameworks. In this context, ISG’s research becomes particularly relevant. It will help identify the emerging capabilities that address current needs and expectations.

The study will employ surveys from over 350 cybersecurity vendors worldwide, creating evaluation quadrants that reflect the most commonly adopted services. These quadrants will focus on various aspects, including consulting engagements, technical implementations, and emerging technologies like post-quantum encryption. Additionally, ISG will produce region-specific reports, offering localized insights into the cybersecurity landscape. This comprehensive approach will not only enhance understanding but also promote more informed decision-making among enterprises. By aligning technical capabilities with broader business goals, organizations can strengthen their cyber resilience and support their digital transformation efforts.
