NETSCOUT SYSTEMS, INC., a leading provider of observability, AIOps, cybersecurity, and DDoS protection solutions, has announced how its offerings align with the National Institute of Standards and Technologyinitiatives to support U.S. federal agencies in implementing zero-trust security frameworks. These frameworks are designed to safeguard data and resources across complex hybrid environments with high availability requirements.

Since NIST published its SP 800-207 guidance in 2020, defining Zero Trust Architectureas a strategy to mitigate both internal and external threats, adoption has steadily increased. However, NIST acknowledges that implementing ZTA remains a complex process.

NETSCOUT’s Omnis Network Security Solution supports all five critical stages of ZTA maturity, including:

Identifying and continuously monitoring all essential services;

Mapping transaction flows across the entire digital infrastructure;

Verifying the behavior of micro perimeters and detecting perimeter breaches;

Providing detailed metadata and layer 7 visibility into applications;

Maintaining visibility throughout an incident’s dwell time, offering full context to restore operations quickly and minimize downtime.

“We are proud to work alongside respected technology leaders within our broad partner ecosystem to provide mission-ready solutions,” said Chris Wilkinson, Executive Vice President of Sales at Four Inc., a leading public sector IT distributor. “NETSCOUT’s demonstrated ability to enhance Zero Trust Architectures securely, efficiently, and at scale makes them an essential part of our cybersecurity strategy for DoD, civilian agencies, and SLED environments.”

Karl Schaub, Chief Solutions Architect at NETSCOUT, added, “As the federal government continues to modernize its IT infrastructure, the importance of Zero Trust Architectures grows to protect sensitive data from escalating cyber threats. We have built strong relationships with federal agencies to address their observability and cybersecurity requirements, embracing a zero-trust approach alongside our partners to deliver robust, scalable solutions.”

A core element of NETSCOUT’s offering, Omnis Cyber Intelligence, is FIPS and Common Criteria certified, enabling agencies to progress toward zero-trust maturity with a highly scalable and cost-effective network detection and response solution. It provides extensive visibility into both north-south and east-west network traffic, enhancing threat detection and investigation workflows, improving collaboration between NetOps and SecOps teams, and enabling faster incident response.

Omnis Cyber Intelligence includes Adaptive Threat Analytics, which continuously collects and stores all metadata and packet data, independent of threat detection, and integrates seamlessly with SIEM, SOAR, EDR, and XDR platforms. This empowers security teams to investigate alerts or validate zero-trust policies efficiently, reducing both response times and cybersecurity risks. The solution is fully integrated with cybersecurity and observability platforms from Palo Alto Networks, Splunk, ServiceNow, VMware, and others.
