ThreatDown, the enterprise-focused division of Malwarebytes, has appointed veteran cybersecurity leader Kendra Krause as its new General Manager. With over two decades of experience in building and scaling global channel go-to-market strategies, Krause’s arrival marks a pivotal step in ThreatDown’s growth trajectory.

“Kendra’s extensive cybersecurity expertise and channel leadership will be instrumental in shaping ThreatDown’s future,” said Marcin Kleczynski, Founder and CEO of Malwarebytes.

Before joining Malwarebytes, Krause served as Senior Vice President of Global Channels at Sophos, where she oversaw the company’s transformation to a channel-first business model, driving growth across SMB, mid-market, and enterprise segments. Her career also adds senior leadership roles at Fortinet, SonicWALL, and WatchGuard.

Krause outlined her vision for ThreatDown, emphasizing a stronger channel-first strategy and enhancing value for both customers and partners. “ThreatDown’s solutions are among the most impressive I’ve encountered. The growth potential here is incredible, and I’m eager to collaborate with the leadership team to innovate quickly and deliver bold, winning outcomes,” she said.

In her new role, Krause will lead initiatives to advance ThreatDown’s suite of threat detection and response products, focusing on solutions that are powerful, efficient, and easy to use. She will also refine and expand the company’s reseller, managed service provider (MSP), and distribution partner programs, with an emphasis on simplicity and competitive edge. Additionally, Krause will strengthen go-to-market ability to accelerate expansion and deepen engagement with both partners and customers.

Adding to this momentum, Malwarebytes recently introduced ThreatDown Email Security, a real-time, adaptive defense solution against advanced email-based attacks, fully integrated with its endpoint protection offerings. Under Krause’s leadership, ThreatDown aims to push innovation further, expand its market presence, and deliver measurable results for its global customer and partner ecosystem.
